Slab-rolled from recycled stoneware clay and decorated with a bold black clay slip, applied by hand with a large paintbrush, and finished with a clear glaze. The slip is applied in large blocks, creating a high-contrast graphic pattern across the body of the cup.

Each cup varies slightly in how the slip is placed and where the raw clay shows through, so no two are identical. Natural iron in the clay body produces speckled flecks visible on the unslipped areas.
